Listen to some excerpts of Anindo's playing.

Anindo Chatterjee

Pandit Anindo Chaterjee is one of the greatest tabla players of the past century. Technically and aesthetically, he has expanded the range of solo tabla and built upon the profound tabla solo tradition. His solos are characterized by superhuman virtuosity and brilliant imagination. Pandit Anindo Chatterjee is a disciple of the great tabla guru and composer Pandit Jnan Prakash Ghosh. In 2002 he was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi award, one on India's most prestigious prizes, by the President of India.

"Anindo Chatterjee is in a class by himself, born with rhythm in his soul and fingers" -- New York Times

Ramesh Mishra

Ramesh Mishra's rock steady rhythm, accuracy of intonation, and sweetness of tone make him one of the worlds leading sarangi players. His is the first choice for nearly all tabla players; his tremendous melodiousness sets the mood perfectly for tabla solo. He was trained in the Benares style by his father Ram Nath Mishra, and was also influenced by his uncle, the legendary Pandit Gopal Mishra, and Hanuman Prasad Mishra.
