I, along with my colleagues Jason Freeman (Ga Tech), Melody Moore Jackson (Ga Tech), and Ge Wang (Stanford), recently received a grant to study and model musical improvisation. Our aim is to develop new technologies that support creativity in music and education. You can read more about it here.

Tejendrada shows tremendous timbral control and melodiousness, particularly in the alap proper and the first half of the madhyalay gat. Some nice ekhara taan work in the gat but too much too fast for me there.
